ALL ABOUT ME
I have been an NCTJ-qualified journalist since 2006, learning my trade at local newspapers for the first seven years of my career. Since 2013 I have specialised in local government at The Municipal Journal. Writing for and news editing this weekly national magazine and website has allowed me to work at the cutting edge of policy and social issues, serving an informed and knowledgeable audience. Throughout my time at The MJ, I have scored scoop after scoop while curating and delivering what readers need to know about the fast-moving world of local politics.
I am driven by the buzz I get from sourcing and writing exclusive, agenda-setting, must-read stories.
Running through my career is a determination to follow all the threads of a story to the end – and then pull at them some more – so that my journalism achieves its maximum possible impact. I’m also a committed believer in the importance of journalism to society.
